Park View FC (5) v Kennington FC (1)

13th August 2006
A bright sunny afternoon in August presented a goal fest, which saw Park View trash Kennington 5 goals to 1. Park View’s determination to impose themselves on the Premiership and fellow rivals Kennington was shown in the finest form. It all started with Park View loosing to Kennington in the GFS One-Day Tour final and drawing against them in their first away game of the season, it became very important for the “snipers” to send out a chilling message to the rest of the league.

The game which took place at Hackney Downs after a re-turf at Park View’ home grounds forced them to move this game to a much bigger pitch, gave the lads the opportunity to express themselves and use their fitness to their own advantage.

The first half saw Park View score three goals; the first was a great lob from Allotey beating the goal keeper on the far post. The second came from a sharp free kick from Allotey which was headed home by Sanjay and the third another blinder from Allotey. The second half saw Kennington pull one back only to find them hammered with two brilliant goals from Junior and Allotey. A hat-trick from Allotey made him rather excited about a possible run for top goal scorer. Final result Park View 5 – Kennington 1
